| General It's only when your tiles are properly laid that you can really begin to enjoy them. First check which laying technique is the one that suits your needs. The conventional mortar-bed method, i.e. laying wall and floor tiles directly on a bed of mortar, is used if there is no wall plaster or screed floor covering in the building. The advantage of this method is its high accuracy. The more modern thin-bed method, i.e. laying wall and floor tiles on a thin bed of mortar or adhesive, speeds up the tile laying process and is used when a wall plaster or screed covering already exists. |
